Pakistan Environmental Planning and Architectural Consultants Limited (PEPAC) established by Government of Pakistan in January1974, is a consultancy firm incorporated as Private Limited Company and provides integrated services at all scale of the built environment.In almost four decades since its birth, PEPAC has become one of the foremost Planning, Architectural and Development Consultancy Firms of Pakistan, With a Considerable impact on the Nation's urban and rural scene.
The firm's professional expertise is marked for its diversity and extensiveness. This is illustrated by the breadth of work carried out by its professionals;planning inputs at national,regional,urban and rural levels; kachi abadis and slum upgrading; restoration & conservation of historic fabric; physical planning and design of urban infrastructure; architectural design of buildings; structural and environmental engineering; environmental impact assessment; and contract & project management services.
The organization is administered by a Board of Directors(BOD), which has its Chairman, the Secretary to the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Housing & Works, in an ex-officio capacity. The Manging Director is the operational head of the firm,and is appointed by the BOD. The organization has advantages of being owned by the Federal Government, yet operating as a private professional practice and competing with other private sector consultancies in the field
